Samsung C3300: A Cost-effective Touchscreen Mobile Phone

Recently Samsung have proudly released one of the most cost-effective touch screen mobile phone on the market, the Samsung C3300, also known as Champ. With a traditionally rounded smartphone look, an attractive touchscreen design as well as powerful social networking ability, this phone is aimed at younger users or those who looking for a cheaper yet functional mobile phone. This sleek phone comes in four different colored casings including Deep black, Sweet pink, Chic white and Espresso brown, letting you choose a color that fits your personality.

The Samsung C3300 Champ is really a compact phone that measures 9.63cm high by 5.38cm wide by 1.3cm deep. And it may be one of the lightest mobile phones available today at a weight of 80 grams, making it easy to hold and carry around. The front part of this handset is dominated by a 2.4 inch TFT resistive touchscreen which provides easy navigation around the customizable home screen. It runs the famed TouchWiz Lite interface which gives you access to an abundance of social networking options, including integrated social tools from Facebook, Twitter, YouTube as well as giving you power to customize your home screen by adding and changing various apps or widgets.

In terms of entertainment, the Samsung C3300 comes with a built-in 1.3 mega pixel camera which is not the best on the market though, is substantial enough for quick and easy captures of your favorite moments on the go. And it can also records QCIF videos at 15 frames per second. Other media options include an MP3 player and an FM radio with RDS. Sound quality is pretty good, either trough the speaker or a set of headphones. The good news is that there is a very handy 3.5mm standard audio jack where you can connect any type of earphones or headphones you want. For storage space, there is only 30 MB of internal memory, which is a little bit limited for heavy storing requirement. Luckily this phone support a microSD card, meaning you can get an external memory of up to 8 GB via the microSD card slot.

When it comes to connectivity, the phone provides class 10 GPRS and class 10 EDGE networks that let you connect to websites, social networks and your friends via email. You can also connect the mobile phone to other compatible devices using the microUSB v2.0 port or via a Bluetooth. The phone has a good level of social integration too. With the built in Facebook, Twitter applications, the Samsung C3300 gives you a really simple way to remain connected to your friends and keep updated with your social networks wherever you go. Of course, without 3G and Wi-Fi support, making the most of all the social networking features may be a little slow at times. This mobile phone can store up to 1000 contacts. The battery is quite powerful with a continuous talk-time of up to 12 hours and standby time of 666 hours.

All in all, the Samsung C3300 is an affordable featured phone specifically targeted to the lower end of the market. Teenagers will probably appreciate the social networking capabilities embedded into the phone and will be able to maximize its features.
