If you are a woman then having facial hair can be a highly embarrassing and unpleasant thing. Facial hair is caused by testosterone and for this reason, along with the conventions of society, we associate it very much with masculine traits. The lips and mouth meanwhile are one of the most elegant and alluring parts of a woman potentially, and especially if they are full and painted in lipstick or lip gloss. If a woman has a hairy upper lip then this can be very detrimental unfortunately to her looks.
This is where hair removal techniques come in, and there are various different methods
available here. However for women no doubt the best method is to use laser hair removal. Here we will look at laser hair removal, as well as some of the other methods, and will look at why it is so much preferable to those.
Types of Hair Removal
Shaving: This is how men get rid of their facial hair, so why not women? Well shaving actually for a woman is the very worst thing you can do to try and remove facial hair. The reason for this is simply that shaving cuts our hairs and this causes them to grow back thicker as well as meaning that they aren’t completely removed. Following shaving you would end up with stubble, which arguably is worse than having hair even. Then you would find over time that as the hair grew back on each occasion it got darker until it looked actually like a man’s stubble. So shaving really is not an option.
Waxing: There is nothing wrong with waxing your upper lip and it won’t grow back any darker if you do. However what you will find is that each time you wax it definitely hurts quite a lot and that this is something you have to do regularly. Waxing does fortunately mean that hair comes back lighter, but this won’t happen for years meaning that you have to go through a lot of painful waxes before it starts to fade.
Bleaching: Bleaching your facial hair means it’s too pale to stand out, rather than meaning it’s not there. This is a painless and immediate way to reduce the appearance of hair, but it is still not quite as effective as actually removing it. Not only will men be able to feel it if you kiss, but they will also see it on occasion when it catches the light or hangs over your lip. And you’ll know it’s there too.
Laser Hair Removal: Laser hair removal has none of these flaws. This is something that won’t be too painful or invasive even the first time, instead feeling a little bit like being flicked lightly around the face. More importantly though after a few sessions you won’t need to come back. You will eventually have no facial hair at all and this will last forever. And the even better news is that this is also the cheapest way to remove the hair, because once you’ve spent that money up front, you’ll not need to spend another dime on removing facial hair.
